Fubara Reinstates Six IAUE Governing Council Members

Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has reinstated six members of the Governing Council of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt.

The reinstatement was contained in a special government announcement signed by the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr Dagogo S. A. Wokoma, on Friday, November 6, 2026.

Those reinstated as members of the university’s Governing Council are Dr Iboh Okidim, Prof. Jason Osai and Prof. Ijeoma F. V. Akpu.

Others are Dr Akabue Godson Ugochukwu, Mrs Mmeme Gogo-Adiari and Hon. Dominic Sata.

According to the statement, the reinstatement takes immediate effect.

The development restores the six individuals to their positions on the governing council of the state-owned university.
