Former Big Brother Naija winner, Mercy Eke, has admitted that although the reality television show transformed her life, she regrets taking part because of its impact on her personal relationships.
The reality star made the revelation during an interview with media personality Toke Makinwa, where she spoke candidly about the challenges she has faced in finding a suitable life partner since emerging from the show.
Mercy explained that the fame and financial success she attained after winning BBNaija have created an imbalance in many of her relationships, making it difficult to build a lasting romantic connection.
According to her, despite her strong desire to settle down and get married, finding a compatible partner has not been easy because of the circumstances surrounding her celebrity status.
She disclosed that she had been deeply committed in past relationships and had even provided financial support to some of the men she dated because they were not financially stable.
Reflecting on her experience, Mercy said she appreciates the opportunities and benefits that came with Big Brother Naija but regrets participating in the show because of the personal sacrifices it has brought. She added, โI regret going to Big Brother even though I love the benefits that come from it. I dey fall in love like mumu. Now I want to marry, but it\'s not easy. I have dated guys that I have given a lot of money to because they don\'t have.โ
