Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, will begin the inauguration of 10 major infrastructure projects across the state from August 17 to August 28, as his administration intensifies efforts to expand development and improve public services in communities.

The projects, spread across several local government areas, include roads, bridges, healthcare facilities, educational institutions and other critical public infrastructure aimed at boosting economic growth and enhancing residents\' quality of life.

Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr. Dagogo Wokoma, announced the programme during a media briefing in Port Harcourt on Friday, describing the projects as evidence of the administration\'s commitment to grassroots development.

He said the commissioning exercise would commence on August 17 with the Buguma-Degema-Abonnema Road, a major link connecting communities in Asari-Toru, Degema and Akuku-Toru Local Government Areas.

According to the schedule, the Egwi-Afara-Mba Road in Etche Local Government Area will be inaugurated on August 18, while the Capt. Elechi Amadi Polytechnic Entrepreneurship Centre/Engineering Faculty Building in Rumuola, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area, will be commissioned on August 19.

The commissioning programme will conclude on August 28 with the inauguration of the Bonny National Grammar School in Bonny Local Government Area.

Wokoma said the projects reflected Governor Fubara\'s determination to ensure that government investments translated into visible improvements in the lives of Rivers people.

He noted that the administration remained focused on delivering meaningful development across the state\'s 23 local government areas through strategic infrastructure investments.

The SSG also commended government officials, contractors, host communities and other stakeholders for their contributions to the successful execution of the projects.

He urged residents to participate in the commissioning ceremonies and continue supporting the Fubara administration in its drive to promote peace, sustainable development and shared prosperity across Rivers State.
