Behind the remarkable success story of one of Nigeria\'s most influential families stands a woman whose legacy continues to resonate across politics, business and entertainment.
Mrs. Nnenna Esther Adeleke (née Akpara), an indigene of Akwete Ndoki in Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State, holds the unique distinction of being the only known Nigerian woman to have given birth to two democratically elected state governors.
Her first son, the late Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke, made history as the first elected civilian governor of Osun State during the Third Republic. Years later, history repeated itself when another of her sons, Senator Ademola Adeleke, emerged as the current governor of Osun State, making the family one of Nigeria\'s most celebrated political dynasties.
Beyond politics, Mrs. Adeleke also raised billionaire businessman Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, founder of Adeleke University and one of the country\'s foremost entrepreneurs. His son, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has become one of Africa\'s biggest music exports, earning global acclaim and helping to project Nigerian music onto the world stage.
Mrs. Adeleke\'s life tells a story of unity beyond ethnic boundaries. She married the late Senator Ayoola Adeleke of Ede, Osun State, creating a family that reflects Nigeria\'s diversity through the union of South-East and South-West cultures.
Although she is no longer in the public spotlight, her roots remain firmly planted in Akwete, where the family\'s ancestral residence, widely known as \"The Adeleke House,\" still stands as a symbol of their enduring connection to the community.
