TROOPS RESCUE KIDNAP VICTIMS, RECOVER ₦3.8M RANSOM IN KOGI  Troops of the Nigerian Army’s 12 Brigade have rescued two kidnapped victims and recovered ₦3.8 million ransom during a coordinated operation in Achigili Forest, Kogi State.  Acting on credible intelligence along the Itobe–Adumu–Ejule axis, the soldiers intercepted the criminals en route to the suspected location but came under heavy fire. The troops overpowered the bandits with superior firepower, forcing them to abandon the victims and flee with gunshot wounds.  The rescued individuals were debriefed, and the recovered ransom was returned to them. They remain in safe custody pending handover to the appropriate authorities.  The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging the public to continue providing timely intelligence to aid ongoing operations.  — Lt.
