…Suspends Roof-climbing Rite
The revered Nwaotam Masquerade of Opobo Kingdom will be on display tomorrow from 5:00am to 10:00am in a moment of culture, tradition, and deep reverence.
However, the masquerade will not perform its usual roof-climbing displays. This adjustment is a mark of honour and respect for King Dandeson Douglas Jaja, Jeki V, a great custodian of Ibani culture and tradition.
This solemn modification reflects the deep cultural values of Opobo kingdom, where even tradition pauses to pay tribute to a king.
It promises to be a unique and meaningful outing — one that blends heritage with honour.,
